Ibrahim Elfiky

      Ibrahim Elfiky is a success story that deserves to be mentioned. He is a man who spent the greater part of his life in teaching others how to overcome the problems that stand in the way of their success. Elfiky dedicated his life to spreading positive thinking and behavior, the legitimacy of dream and the power of hope in the ability to change the grim reality. He saw his life’s story as the best example of a person who reached wide fame and money by only believing in his dream until it became true. Let us explore in depth Elfiky’s early journey, his career, education, the secret behind his publications and his terrible accidental death.

      Ibrahim Elfiky has a unique early life. He was born in Egypt in 1950. He earned a degree in the field of tourism and hotels in Egypt (Facts of Arabs). After his graduation, he immigrated with his wife to Canada in 1978 seeking better life. Upon his arrival, he said that “All the people I have met when I arrived Canada told me to return back to my country as there were no job opportunities at that time”( Magnology). In fact, Elfiky’s fortune at that time was only “$1000” dollars (Fact of Arabs). Rather than letting these impressions depress him, Elfiky started looking for a job. And within two days, he found two jobs. The best of those jobs was a career of washing dishes in a modest hotel. Although this job opportunity wasn’t the best, Elfiky accepted the offer, insisting on completing his journey from the bottom up. Elfiky faced many challenges in his early life, but he never quit his dream.

     Elfiky moved forward in his career after washing dishes. Elfiky realized that he had to obtain a certified Canadian degree to have a better career. Therefore, he worked days and nights to make it happened. And within eight years, he earned a couple “specialist [certificates with honors in Human Behavior, Marketing and Sales Management] from The American Hotel and Motel Association (AHMA)” (Canadian Training Center of NLP). Furthermore, he became a “General Manager of five star hotels in Montreal, Canada” (Canadian Training Center of NLP). Overall, Elfiky earned a better career after a humble labor washing dishes in a hotel. But this career wasn’t the final stage in the ladder of his success.

     Ibrahim Elfiky continued his path of learning in various fields of education. He started to specialize in the field of human development. In fact, he gained “23 diplomas and the three highest designations in psychology, marketing and sales management and human development” (Canadian Training Center of NLP). Moreover, Elfiky earned “a doctorate in Metaphysics from the Metaphysics University of Los Angeles” (Ahram Online). Along with that, Dr. Elfiky trained thousands of people in his seminars and workshops around the world. Finally, he established his own institution “Ibrahim Elfiky International Enterprises Inc.” which is based in Montreal, Canada and has another branch in Cairo, Egypt. Overall, Elfiky has been ranked among few of his generation who obtained many school degrees and certificates in different educational fields.

     Dr. Ibrahim Elfiky also authored numerous “bestselling books, audio and video tapes and DVDs” (theweek) in the field of human development. In fact, his publications had translated into many languages included “English, French and Arabic” (ibrahimelfiky.com) and sold millions of copies worldwide. Among many popular books, he published "7 Secrets of Personal Power", “Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Unlimited Communication Power” and "10 Keys to Ultimate Success” (Magnology). Dr. Ibrahim Elfiky is considered a well-known author as “he was instrumental in transforming hundreds of people’s lives into a more functional and productive ones” (Morocco World News).

     After a remarkable journey of learning, giving and teaching, Dr. Ibrahim Elfiky died in a horrible accident. He passed away due a fire that broke out his apartment building in Cairo (Ahram Online). Unfortunately, the 10 th of February 2012 marked the day of Elfiky’s death. Actually, “El-Fiky’s sister, Fawkeya, 73, and their housekeeper, 72, were also killed in blaze” (Ahram Online). The terrible fire incident took Dr. Ibrahim Elfiky from us at the age of 62.

     In conclusion, Dr. Ibrahim Elfiky is a character that difficult to deny. He is an expert in the field of human development who born in Egypt. In reality, “he was instrumental in transforming hundreds of people’s lives into a more functional and productive ones, which deservedly earned him a worldwide recognition and love by millions of people” (Morocco World News). Dr. Efiky’s story is the best model of a man who made his way to success encountering different levels of life’s ups and downs. None of these obstacles stopped him to move forward. Actually, he obtained many diplomas and earned a doctorate in Metaphysics from the U.S. Although Dr. Elfiky died in a dreadful fire accident subjected his apartment in Cairo, he left us with many valuable publications ranked as bestselling worldwide. Dr. Elfiky’s last advice for us was “Stay away from people who are trying to reduce your ambitions, while the great people are those who make you feel you can become one of them” (Magnology).
